“A flagship event for the promotion and enhancement of the entire Italian buffalo supply chain”
Extraordinary success for the tenth edition, a milestone celebrated through gastronomic excellence, “Vision” and institutional support.
Naples, 7 September 2026 – The tenth edition of
“Bufala Fest – all the forms of taste” comes to a close with a
strong and authoritative institutional endorsement.
Adding further prestige to this tenth-anniversary milestone is the message from
Hon. Francesco Lollobrigida, Minister of Agriculture, Food Sovereignty and Forestry, who emphasized the strategic role of the event and the Government’s commitment to safeguarding the sector.
In his official message, sent to Organizational Director Antonio Rea,
the Minister described the event as:
“An extraordinary showcase for our agri-food excellence. A point of reference for the promotion and enhancement of the entire Italian buffalo supply chain”.
Lollobrigida also praised this year’s theme, stating:
“The decision to develop the event around the theme of «Vision» effectively reflects the challenges facing the sector: combining the invaluable heritage of tradition and local specialties with innovation, sustainability and competitiveness on international markets”.
The Minister also recalled the Government measures introduced to protect the agri-food sector, including the implementation of an
“extraordinary plan of inspections and penalties of up to 3% of turnover against fraud and false indications of origin”, emphasizing that:
“Guaranteeing product quality is an essential condition for the growth of the entire sector”.
Taking stock of this tenth-anniversary edition and looking ahead to future prospects is
Antonio Rea, Organizational Director of the event:
“We are extremely proud of the results achieved during this tenth edition, a special milestone that rewards the hard work, passion and vision of our entire team. Minister Lollobrigida’s words are a great honor for us and confirm the role of Bufala Fest as a fundamental showcase for a sector that is crucial to our economy.
Developing the event around the theme of ‘Vision’ allowed us to demonstrate how tradition can merge with innovation. The enthusiasm of the public, the perfect synergy with institutions and the promotion of integration between the buffalo and seafood supply chains confirm that the path we have chosen is the right one”.
Institutional Statements
Maria Carmela Serluca, Councillor for Agriculture of the Campania Region
Speaking in the
“Giardino delle Idee” Talk Area during the conference entitled
“The future needs vision: white gold and the properties of buffalo meat for new business models within the supply chain, between PAT, De.Co., PDO and the Mediterranean Diet”, organized and promoted by the Department of Agriculture of the Campania Region, Councillor Maria Carmela Serluca provided important operational guidance concerning registration in the Municipal Designation (De.Co.) and Traditional Agri-food Products (P.A.T.) registers.
Councillor Serluca recalled that:
“The 614 PAT products represent a tangible and intangible heritage of inestimable value. They constitute an important safeguard against global food standardization, a fundamental tool for protecting rural landscapes and a valuable resource for the economic development of inland areas.
In light of the recent recognition of Italian Cuisine as UNESCO Heritage, Campania confirms its role as a guardian of tradition while looking towards the innovation of our businesses. The regional De.Co. and P.A.T. registers are not merely bureaucratic lists, but represent the true backbone of our biodiversity and cultural identity.
Enhancing these instruments – the Councillor concluded – means safeguarding local micro-productions while, at the same time, strengthening the Mediterranean Diet, a lifestyle that originated in Campania and that finds in these products its fundamental biological building blocks, essential for promoting a model of global well-being”.
Fiorella Zabatta, Councillor for Biodiversity, Reforestation Policies, Fisheries and Aquaculture, and Animal Protection of the Campania Region
Councillor Fiorella Zabatta took part in the
show cooking event entitled
“The ancient nectar of the coast, gastronomic excellence from our seas”, held in the
Taste Space – Casa di Cosmo Area.
The initiative, organized by
FEAMPA Campania in
collaboration with Iasa and dedicated to
Cetara anchovy extract, provided an opportunity to highlight the value and versatility of Campania’s seafood excellence.
Councillor Zabatta stated:
“The idea that products from our sea should only be paired with certain specific foods is becoming increasingly outdated. Everything that comes from our seas, which represent some of our greatest excellences, lends itself to multiple uses and a wide variety of pairings.
Therefore, products such as anchovy extract, bluefin tuna and everything that has made Campania’s gastronomy famous throughout the world also pair perfectly with an event such as Bufala Fest, dedicated to the promotion and enhancement of the entire buffalo supply chain. Indeed, we have seen how our chefs have successfully integrated seafood products as well, enhancing this virtuous fusion”.
A Michelin-Starred Dinner to Celebrate Integration with the Seafood Supply Chain
Providing a celebratory setting for this successful edition, strongly supported by the institutions, was an elegant closing gala dinner organized in collaboration with the
Campania Region.
The culinary experience was curated by the
Dolce & Salato Cooking School, under the careful supervision of
Chef Peppe Daddio and
Pastry Chef Aniello Di Caprio, and further enhanced by the creativity of
Michelin-starred Chef Paolo Gramaglia, with the refined
mise en place curated by
Sole Ricevimenti.
The evening featured an extraordinary menu that authentically and masterfully celebrated the integration of the buffalo and seafood supply chains, combining flavors from land and sea.
The organizers of
“Bufala Fest – all the forms of taste” would like to thank all members of the media, partners, institutions, chefs, exhibitors and the thousands of visitors who made this tenth edition unforgettable, while already announcing a
double appointment for 2027 in Padua and Naples.
